Well, John Karr is not being charged in the JonBenet case.
I suspect that Mr. Karr should get some help with his flights of fantasy.
But hey, that's only my opinion.
So there I was the other night having a relaxing dinner with my good friend Jim and we started looking at the cable news station that was reporting the return of John Karr to the US. A few minutes into the newscast and commentary I realized I might have jumped to some conclusions as to the guilt of this suspect.
When I worked for the police, as a dispatcher, I was taught not to draw too many conclusions, but to assess the situation and use my best judgment as to the service needed for a particular citizen who may be calling. When a citizen called in and admitted that he or she had committed a crime, we would take them at face value and send and officer out to investigate, just as if that same caller had reported that a vehicle collision had occurred.
So my statement that the suspect Karr had committed this particular crime was based on my limited reading of the facts as reported in the media. MY BAD. I think I might have been more correct to say, and continue to say, he is a suspect until adjudicated.
Let me just say this. If it is proved that John Karr did this crime, then those in the news media should all stand up and and with one voice beg for the forgiveness of the news reading and news watching public. So far all many {reporters and commentators} have done with this suspect is point out inconsistencies with known facts, still acting as if the Ramsey Family were the real suspects (who are the real suspects....because they just know).
I suspect that the prosecutors in Colorado know much more than they have told the media and would not bring the suspect into that state until they had a pretty good chance of getting a conviction based on the facts that they have in evidence. Prosecutors and District Attorneys hate to lose, worse than professional athletes.
